As the pioneer of the refrigerated trailer industry, Great Dane has always been first to develop revolutionary products. In the early '40s, we built the first produce van with a wet ice bunker and a gas engine and blower system, which was soon followed by the first factory finished refrigerated trailer. We have continued to make significant strides in
the manufacturing and performance of refrigerated trailers, using our customers' needs as the building blocks for the design of reefer technology.

With division offices in Savannah, Ga., and Chicago, Ill., Great Dane has seven strategically located manufacturing plants in the U.S. In addition, Great Dane utilizes a network of company-owned branches, full-line independent dealers, and parts-only independent dealers and has distribution points across North and South America.
