CORROSION HAS PLAGUED THE TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY FOR DECADES —
and with the evolution of ice management chemicals, preventing it
has now become even more complex. From front walls to rear doors
and from the roofline to the road, corrosion is an ever-present enemy.
Trailer underbodies are subject to extreme conditions. Moisture, severe temperatures, road debris, winter road traction and de-icing materials can sandblast trailer underbodies. Once paint coatings are worn away, those areas are left exposed to the caustic environment, dirt and road debris accumulation. If not maintained or repaired, the result is persistent deterioration and oxidation.
